Quilting Categories

Listed below are the various types of quilting we offer.  We have made every attempt to describe each quilting level in such a way to make it easy for you to decide which category best suits your quilting needs.
   

Simple Pantograph or Meandering ~  $.0175/sq .in.  Pantographs are rows of quilting done edge-to-edge throughout the entire quilt.  Most pantograph patterns offered by Woodland Manor Quilting are patterns that nest together to avoid the row-like look.  All-over meandering is a stipple-like pattern which can be done in soft curves, loop-de-loops or in a continuous ribbon design.  Minimum ~ $45.
 

Semi-Custom ~ $0.2 to $.03/sq. in.  May include pantograph in the center with separate border pattern.  NO stitch-in-the-ditch is included in this price.  Minimum ~ $65.
    

Full Custom Quilting ~$.035 to $.045/sq. in.  Includes many different types of quilting: stitch-in-the-ditch, any size meandering, feathers, sashing designs, multiple border patterns, inset blocks, gridwork and cross hatching.  Minimum ~ $75.
   

Heirloom Quilting ~ $.05 to $.06/sq. in.  This is show quality quilting for treasured quilts.  This level of quilting includes everything in the Full Custom category as well as trapunto, fine background quilting and patterns designed exclusively for a single quilt.  Minimum ~ $100.
          
Pantograph / Edge-to-Edge patterns are added regularly and there are too many now to show individually. Please contact us and we can discuss patterns with you or set up a day and time for you to review the patterns offered. As of Fall 2008, there are well over 150 patterns to choose from.

Additional Designs for multiple borders ~ add $15 per border. (Does not apply to category "Full Custom Quilting" above.)
   

No deposit is required.  Full payment is required upon completion.  Any unpaid quilts will be donated to charity after thirty (30) days.  Checks returned for any reason are subject to a $25 return check fee.
   

Thread ~ We have many colors of cotton thread to choose from.  Single color thread is included in the quilting price.
   

Monofilament and specialty threads ~ available for an extra charge of $15.
   

Multiple thread colors ~ Primary thread color, no charge.  Additional thread colors, $2 each.
   

Custom design work ~ at $20 per hour.
     
Binding Service (Optional) ~ $.17/linear inch.  Includes machine sewing to the front and hand sewing to the back.  To figure your binding cost on a 72" x 90" quilt, add 72+72+90+90=324, then multiply x .17 = $55.60.  Send extra fabric ~ we'll tell you how much you need. 
    
Hanging Sleeve ~ $7.50.
   
Batting ~ We use top quality batting products purchase on the large roll.  Some of the battings we have available include: Warm & Natural, Quilters Dream, Hobbs, Mountain Mist, Buffalo Batt and many others.  Please let us help you make the best possible batting choice for your particular quilt as there are many weights and thicknesses to choose from.
    
Return Shipping Charges ~ $9.00 for most sizes.  Quilts over 90" long ~ $14.  $100 insurance included, additional insurance $2.50 per hundred.
